Position Summary

This full-time and part-time developmental role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in all facets of our business—sales, operations, and maintenance. You'll play a crucial role in expanding our reach, representing our brand, and ensuring our clients across various industries receive top-notch service and support with our advanced chemical solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, educating clients across diverse sectors like Industrial & Manufacturing, Food & Beverage Processing, Healthcare & Institutional, Hospitality & Commercial, and Government & Fleet on our comprehensive range of specialized Janitorial & Housekeeping products.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations that highlight the unique performance and benefits of our specialty formulations, from hospital-grade disinfectants like FIGHT BACK RTU to advanced lubricants like BLACK MAGIC and Bio-Enzymatic drain digesters like BIO SAFE.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, focusing on exceptional customer service and understanding their specific needs to provide tailored, problem-solving solutions.
  • Contribute to our team's success in sales, operations, and maintenance, emphasizing engineered solutions over generic chemicals.

Comprehensive Training Program:

We believe in investing in our team's success. You'll receive personalized, hands-on training directly from our owner, who began in this very role in 1991. Our program blends traditional mentorship with modern technology and market demands, equipping you to effectively represent and sell our unique chemical solutions. We will introduce you to our specialty products, niche markets, sales cycles, and processes, including how to demonstrate the distinct advantages of our formulations and our emphasis on deep client support and relationships.

Your training will include:

  • On-the-field Team Training (2 weeks): Learn alongside experienced professionals who understand the nuances of our specialty chemical applications.
  • On-the-field Self-Training (1 week): Apply your knowledge independently with guidance.
  • Team Selling (1 week): Develop collaborative sales strategies for our advanced product lines.
  • Sales Intensive (8 weeks): Master our sales cycles, processes, and client engagement, focusing on demonstrating value beyond just price, and showcasing how our solutions prevent costly issues.

Growth and Development:

Your development and performance will be reviewed every three months, ensuring continuous feedback and support. For high performers, this role offers a clear path for advancement, with opportunities for promotion into a manager position and future development in operations and brand introduction, particularly within the evolving landscape of specialty chemical innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with smartphone and calendar operations.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and confident.
  • Excellent Presentation Skills (with a focus on demonstrating product efficacy, value, and specific technical features like "fume-free" or "high-temperature stability").
  • Pleasant and Outgoing.
  • Punctual and Respectful.
  • Zeal to Learn (especially about complex chemical properties, their applications, and industry-specific challenges).
  • Ability to Listen and Confident in Asking Questions (to uncover client challenges and recommend tailored solutions).
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certification (training can be provided).

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Must own a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $2,500
  • Commission: Reflecting the value of our specialized products and your consultative sales approach.
  • Performance Bonus
